Tradie software

Tradie software for New Zealand: customers, jobs, quotes and GST invoices in one place

ServiceCrown is trade business management software for sole traders and growing crews. It keeps the customer, the job, the booking, the quote and the invoice on one record, adds a technician app for the team, and puts an AI assistant over the admin — priced in NZ dollars, with GST-aware invoicing.

A working day in ServiceCrown

  1. A call comes inAdd the customer once, log the job against them with the type and any notes. Next time they ring, their history is already there.
  2. Book it inPut the job on the schedule with a time and whoever is doing it. Unassigned jobs stay on the board until someone takes them.
  3. Quote itIf the work needs a quote first, build it with line items and send it. The customer can accept it online — accepting never requires payment — and, if you’ve asked for payment upfront and connected Stripe, pay it straight away. Then convert it to a job in one step.
  4. On siteThe technician (or you) starts the timer from the phone, and the office can see the job in progress. Materials and other costs go on the job as they happen.
  5. Invoice itCreate the invoice from the job with GST applied at your configured rate, email the PDF, and let the customer pay the balance online from the invoice link, or record a bank transfer or cash payment when it lands. Send it to Xero as a draft if that is where your accounts live.
  6. Ask the assistantAsk what is on tomorrow, which invoices are still outstanding, or who is free Friday. Sensitive actions it prepares wait for your say-so.

Less admin at night

The evening paperwork is where a trade business loses hours: chasing the day’s jobs, writing up quotes, invoicing, and working out who did what. In ServiceCrown those things are already on the job record by the time the van is back — time from the timer, costs from the job, the invoice one click from the completed job — and the assistant can answer the questions you would otherwise dig for.

Suppliers and materials are recorded on every plan. On Pro and Business, purchase orders and receiving, job costing and profitability, and reporting show what each job cost and what it earned.

For the team on the tools

Technicians are invited by email and get their own portal, installable on a phone, with their jobs, a timer, and messaging with the office about a job. Customers can be given a tracking link that shows the job’s status. Technician limits depend on the plan: Starter up to 3 technicians, Pro up to 10 technicians, Business unlimited technicians. There are no per-user fees: bringing someone onto the tools doesn’t add a software seat to pay for.

Which plan fits

One person, one van

Starter (NZ$39 a month for the business) covers the whole customer-to-invoice loop with up to 3 technicians and 50 jobs a month, with timesheets, field evidence and the AI assistant included.

A crew of a few

Pro (NZ$89) lifts the limits to 10 technicians and 200 jobs a month and adds recurring jobs, purchase orders, receiving, job costing, profitability and reporting.

An established operation

Business (NZ$149) removes the technician and job limits, so you can add staff without increasing your subscription.

All subscription prices are NZD per business per month, including GST. Technician limits count technician records in your business. Monthly job limits count jobs created during each calendar month. 15 days of Business plan access. No card required, and no checkout to start. Separately gated features are not included in general trial access. Full prices are on the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Is ServiceCrown suitable for a small trade business?

Yes. Starter covers the whole customer-to-invoice loop for one monthly price for the business — up to 3 technicians and 50 jobs/month — including timesheets, field evidence and the AI assistant, with no per-user fees.

Can a sole trader use ServiceCrown?

Yes. One person can run the whole loop — customer, job, schedule, quote, invoice — from a single account, on the phone or a computer, without needing a team.

Can my team or technicians use it too?

Yes. Technicians are invited by email and get their own portal, installable on a phone, with their jobs, a timer, messaging with the office, and their own payroll timesheets to review and submit.

Can I schedule jobs for the team?

Yes. Give a job a time and a technician and it appears on the team’s schedule; unassigned jobs stay visible until someone takes them.

Can I quote and invoice customers?

Yes. Build a quote with line items, send it, and convert an accepted quote into a job in one action; invoice the completed job with GST applied at your configured rate, and email the PDF.

Does it support NZ GST and Xero?

Yes. Invoices apply GST at your configured rate when your business is GST-registered, and you can send an invoice to Xero as a draft with one action if that is where your accounts live.
